DH used to work in Customer Service and Sales for a major mobile phone company, and did very well, but it seemed he was never home. He still had customers and contacts calling when we were having dinner, he worried about meeting quotas, and after talking to 200 people every day, he wasn’t all that excited to come home to spend time with us.
So he quit, and got this great job as a driver and helper at an equipment rental company. Major pay cut, but it’s just money, because now I have a hubby who, while he is physically tired when he gets home, is HOME when he is home. And they allow the employees to borrow the equipment as a perk, but of course the paying customers come first. So it has all worked out, even though we give the word ‘frugality’ new meaning. You can see that the kids aren’t suffering - they are ‘fat and happy’.
My machine-obsessed 2 1/2 year old DS would be so incredibly jealous! His Daddy never gets to bring home anything even remotely as cool from his job…

All my Hubby brings home from work is a laptop that no one’s allowed to touch.
