The “After” Pictures
I took a few pics this morning- I think I’ll name the file “How Sunniemom Got Her House Back”.
Look! It’s…a dining room!
I walk through the living room now just because I CAN.
DH moved the piano for me- what a peach.
The former breakfast room/conservatory. Now just a breakfast room.
That desk is where I live.
The wood leaning against the wall is the trim that still needs to go up- after hubby’s shoulder gets better. The guy works harder than any ten men I know.
Thank you for attending Sunniemom’s Open House. Now that I have mostly recovered from Home Improvement Chaos Syndrome, I think I am going to take the afternoon off.

Renae- Absolutely- our ’secret’ is going to Lowe’s and seeing what’s in the throwaway bin. They cull the lumber for warped and dinged pieces and sell it at around a 50% discount. Sometimes more. So we get 2×8’s and router the edges, then put them up with shelf brackets or mailbox brackets.
You can also sometimes get some usable pieces of wood from construction sites if they will let you go through the dumpster. We have never had a problem getting wood that way.
My dh gets so much stuff for free that I hate to pay for anything anymore.
