The Progression of Our Home Improvement Project- To Be Continued

As much as I enjoy refreshing my environment- I am a Compulsive Furniture Rearranger- I am so glad to see the end of this project. Almost everything is back in place, and I plan on taking some more pictures in the next day or two to show the finished family/schoolroom. But for your viewing enjoyment, here is what I having been living with since mid-February.

I have all the furniture in place, but there are still some books and whatnot piled here and there on the floor. However, we can function now, which is a tremendous blessing- especially since I have my kitchen back.

There is something so motivating about all of this. Instead of ‘winding down’ our school year, we actually seem to be ‘gearing up’. You don’t realize how much an orderly environment and predictable schedule actually frees you up until you have lived in chaos for a time. For the last few weeks I told my kids not to ask me any question that starts with the word “where”, because the answer will be “I DON’T KNOW!” Now whenever I need a book or papers or my checkbook, I can lay my hand on it right away. It’s a good things I pay my bills online.

Well, enough rambling. I do want to say that this blog has been a great encouragement to me, and that the comments have been interesting and most have been very kind.
